Metal Patination & Distressing

We offer an inhouse Patination & Distressing service for metal to create an aged effect, ideal for antiquing metal for interiors and exteriors.

The patination process involves treating the metal surface with a controlled application of acid which is then left to corrode and aged the metal surface, replacing the otherwise clean and smooth surface before being rinsed and washed.

Metals that can be patinated include:

Copper
Mild Steel
